  • Once owned by the six-flags group, this is a great place to have awesome rides - best amusement park in the whole of Netherlands.
  • National Windmills Day
  • On the second Saturday of May every year, many of the functioning windmills in the whole of Netherlands fly a blue flag atop the windmills, welcoming all visitors freely to visit the windmills. (Unfortunately, could not locate the official website, and hence linking to a Google search)
  • Dam tot Dam Loop
  • Another annual event, usually on a Sunday in September, where participants run a distance of 10 miles (16 kilometers), starting close to the Amsterdam Centraal station and go all the way to Zaandam. A fascinating event to participate in, or just to watch.

  • Holland Casino
  • A wonderful casino in Amsterdam - just off the Leidseplein. We had an awesome time there every time we went there - hung on until past midnight, had the Falafel at the Maoz joint nearby, and return by the Nachtbus (night bus!)
