This would be my first attempt at the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon. In fact, this is my first marathon run ever outside Mumbai, barring the Comrades event in South Africa, earlier this year!
Company of friends, flat course and a promise of better – read, drier and cooler – weather than Mumbai made me take the plunge. If this is a good experience, I believe I will do it again.
The Shatabdi train today morning was full of Garmin-totting runners discussing their recent runs, and sharing ideas for upcoming events.
And the Hon. Chief Minister too will be present at the event tomorrow. That’s a big deal for a running event I think. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow. It’s time to carbo load and sleep early 🙂
